What’s The Best Diet?
At personal training Louth I am continually asked about what is the best diet? what should I eat?, what should my daily macro count be? In short my answers is quite simple, what ever works for you is the best diet for you.
Now this isn’t a cop out, far from it. There are thousands of diets out there from Paleo to Keto and each has many benefits and many reasons to try them but not all will suit you though.
Over the years I’ve ventured and tried many of the diets that are out there, I’ve then gone and done exactly the same as everyone else does and told everyone how great you feel or told them the results your getting “wow you gotta try the Keto diet its amazing”
Now i’m not knocking any diet here and if your an athlete, bodybuilder or what ever at some point you will need something specialist but for the most the long and short of it is what we recommend to our clients when they come for personal training in Louth is this.
Keep It Simple
Simple Rules From Personal Training Louth
- Eat 80 – 90% real food, if you are doing this fat loss will take care of itself.
- Eat all types of real organic meats
- Leave processed meats alone
- Eat 5 portions of organic veg a day
- Eat 3 portions of organic fruit a day
- Drink 2 litres of water a day, more if it’s hot and your training.
- Avoid refined processed carbs
Don’t shoot me for this but most are complete and utter garbage, don’t waste your money. here are my top list of supplements I believe to be useful.
- Omega 3
- A quality joint care product
So there you have it folks, no fad diets, no diet groups, no counting calories. Just concentrate on getting the basics right, eat for health and fat loss will take care of itself.
